Biography

Originally from Beijing, China, based in Paris. Rong has lived in Sweden, Denmark, and China, working on film scores and ambient music for exhibitions,  and film recordings, He has worked frequently with students at the Beijing Film Academy and with game design students at Uppsala University.

 

With a background in classical music and five years of orchestral performance experience, Rong has performed as principal trumpet in the RDFZ Symphony Orchestra in Shanghai, China, Beijing, Austria, and the USA.
 

In 2020 Rong Liu started working on film scores and participated in the 13th La Jolla Film Festival where he was nominated for Best Sound Design and Best Music.

 

Currently working as an independent musician, Rong has established his personal style while exploring Chinese classical and contemporary music.
